This private sunset sail is our most popular option! With its beautiful golden hour, we all get to watch San Diego’s sky turn on its charm. We will sail between downtown and Coronado. With its steady wind we will sail calmly across the bay while watching the sun setting and the buildings of Downtown reflect its beautiful fiery colors. The bay will most likely have clear gentle water, allowing us to go with our motor and with little leaning.

What’s not included
- Bareboat Charter: Additional $125 Captain Fee
- Parking Fees: Parking is $20-$40 per car in the marina parking lot. We currently do not have an onsite office.
Following current Coast Guard regulations, your Bareboat Charter doesn’t include a Captain. But don’t worry, we have a list of skilled Licensed Captains familiar with our program and boats. Captains on our roster charge $50 an hour, plus tips, payable directly to them after the trip
The Sail:
The sail is 2.5 hours long, leaves from Safe Harbor Sunroad Marina and cruises along Seaport Village, the Downtown Coastline, the Rady Shell, and Coronado.
We designed the food, drinks, and music so that everyone can enjoy it together. We have created 3 separate seating areas. Our yellow cushions in the front. Seating around the wheel. And our indoor living area allows everyone to fit together comfortably.

Where Are You Located?
Sea Monkey Adventures is located at 955 Harbor Island Drive, San Diego, CA. We will meet at our lockers next to Gate 2 – the middle most gate.
What Is Your Cancellation Policy?
A full refund will be issued to customers 24 hours in advance of the booking.
We can sail rain or shine, however, if the weather is unpleasant and you wish to reschedule, we are more than happy to do so.
Customers who cancel less than 24 hours before departure time will not be refunded.
What Do We Need To Bring?
We recommend bringing warm clothes, a hat, sunscreen and removable shoes.
- We do require all guests to remove their shoes before stepping onboard. Either barefoot or to bring clean boat shoes in your bag.
For this experience, you are more than welcome to bring your own foods and soft drinks.
What Not To Bring?

For this experience, you are more than welcomed to bring your own foods and drinks. We only ask, for them to be light alcoholic drinks such as beer or wine.
Please try not to bring Red Wine onboard for they stain.
- Regarding smoking or vaping, we do not allow this onboard.
- Please do not bring pets or we will have to turn them away.
- We recommended you to remove your shoes before boarding, but in case you want to say with your shoes, we ask to bring a clean pair of boat shoes.
Do We Need To Wear Life Jackets?
Everyone 12 years and younger must wear life jackets while onboard the vessel.
